EXPERIENCIAS Y NARRATIVAS DE MUJERES CON VIH, VÍCTIMAS DE VIOLENCIA DE PAREJA EN BOGOTÁ (COLOMBIA)

Introducción: En el contexto de la violencia de pareja en VIH, se hace necesario el análisis del proceso psico-social que experimentan las mujeres víctimas de esta violencia, así como las características del comportamiento de las mujeres posterior a la agresión y la relación con el diagnóstico de VIH. El objetivo de este estudio fue identificar las características que componen la violencia de pareja en mujeres con VIH en un programa de atención integral en Bogotá (Colombia).
Materiales y métodos: Se realizó un estudio cualitativo descriptivo exploratorio, centrado en las percepciones de mujeres que presentan VIH, y que habían sido víctimas de violencia de pareja tanto física como no física. Se realizaron entrevistas grupales con un número de 2 a 4 personas, participando un total de 12 mujeres.
Resultados: En el análisis de contenido de las entrevistas surgieron ocho categorías de respuesta determinadas por un antes y un después del diagnóstico de infección por VIH, como fueron: opiniones de violencia de pareja, tipos de violencia sufridos, factores predisponentes, afrontamiento, consecuencias, relación con VIH, violencia desencadenada posterior a diagnóstico de VIH, impacto.
Conclusiones: La violencia de pareja tiene múltiples causas culturales, sociales, personales y de relación; Si se pueden intervenir las variables personales, es posible romper el círculo de violencia establecido por relaciones de poder dispares que aún persisten en nuestra sociedad.
